Improving Physical Health for People with severe mental illness, learning disabilities and ASD

A new project has begun to see what we can do to improve the health of people in Sheffield with severe mental illness, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder. Studies show that people with these conditions have an average life expectancy of up to 20 years less than the population as a whole.

There is lots of good work happening in the city to address this but we want to make sure everyone is working towards providing the best healthcare and opportunities for a healthy life to all.

We are launching this project with an event at St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane on Tuesday December 4th. The event is open from 9am for registration and runs between 9.30 and 12.30
